Day 2 - Crawfordsville, IN to Davenport, IA

Indiana and Illinois didn't get the sunny day memo today and Iowa only got a few lines.  We awoke to an overcast day, got set for travel in a misty drizzle, drove 268 miles and only saw teases of sun ... but, it was fun.

The Route
I-74W from Crawfordsville to I-80W at Davenport.  Although we bypassed most large cities, I-74 did take us through the center of Peoria ... it was very attractive.

About the Day
The temperature got up to the low 60s. There was a slight breeze and it rained lightly a few times.

The terrain from central Ohio, central Indiana and northeast Illinois (along I-70 and I-74) looks quite similar. It's green and lush with fields extending over flat expanses or gently rolling hills.  So, there was nothing dramatically new in the landscape department.

It did appear that IN and IL can only afford the orange barrels for their highway construction projects.  There are miles and miles of barrels with no workers or equipment in sight.
Orange barrels give the illusion of progress.

The rig is working fine and our TPMS quietly checks our trailer tire pressures.
Oops. The windshield-mounted TPMS display
tends to get in the way of pictures.

Now for some pictures ...

The Campground
We're staying at the Interstate RV Park in Davenport. We've been here before (09/25/15).  It's OK.
We got a little sun at Site #4
And a little fun
