Day 56 – Portland, OR to Dundee, OR

This could be called a “Sweet and Sour” day. We enjoyed the treat of visiting Barbara and family. It came with the sadness of having to say goodbye to Elizabeth and family.

The Route
Today’s trip was a short 37 miles and simple. We took I-205S from Portland to I-5N, took the first exit on I-5, and followed SW Tualatin-Sherwood Road through Tualatin to OR-99W. OR-99W took us to Newberg and a few side streets delivered us to the Bagley’s.

About the Day
The weather teased us. We had sun, clouds and showers throughout the day. Fortunately, the first sprinkles started just after we finished getting connected. There were a few sprinkles during set-up.

Along the Way
The getting ready to go and setting up afterward was as complicated as if we were traveling many times further. Many items had to be returned to the trailer.

Tim preached at Montavilla United Methodist Church, Anna left for a week at camp and Elizabeth left for a five day retreat. Tim and Jacob get the run of the house this week.

The trip was uneventful and set-up went smoothly.

The Campground
Kenny and Barbara have a great RV campsite. It’s level and has water, electric and sewer connections. As an added incentive, they provide two grandchildren upon request.
Lucy paused for a moment. William was running too fast.

Tomorrow
We’ll see.
