Day 60 – Dundee, OR (Day 5)

It was a new day with new fun.

About the Day
It was sunny, breezy, and in the mid-70s.

Activities
Kenny took Lucy and William to day camp and then headed off to a long work day.

Carol and Barbara went to breakfast, did some shopping (think Baggallini purse) and went to Barbara’s theatre classroom for a last look.

Barbara started moving out of her theatre classroom as she suspends operations.

Dick and Carol went to Salem and had a delightful visit with Eric Witchey. We had a chance to hear about the development and publication agreement for his new book Bull's Labyrinth. It's available at Barnes & Noble.

About half of the trip took us through some beautiful farm country where orchards and vineyards line the road.
We even caught a glimpse of Mt. Hood.

We spent time planning our return route. This means we drew a line on a map. The trip will be about 2,500 miles and will follow northern U.S. highways until we’re inspired to do otherwise.

Tomorrow
There’s talk of having a root beer tasting.
